Mixed Martial Arts

Our Mixed Martial Arts program actually consists of two classes in one:
Students can attend both hours or just one class if they wish. Pro MMA fighters are encouraged to attend both hours.

Body Conditioning
Our Body conditioning training is a very high intensity class designed to develop endurance, muscular strength, proper form, and flexibility. It draws heavily from Martial Arts, Yoga, and Plyometrics. This class does not teach fighting techniques. Class goes for 1 hour before the MMA class begins. This is also a stand alone class for those looking to get in shape.

MMA Fighting Techniques
Once students are warm from the Body Conditioning class they will focus on the three areas of MMA:
Free Movement Fighting
Students will learn core strikes, take down evasion, and movement strategy.
Clinch Fighting
Students will learn various clinch positions, take downs, pummeling drills, and strikes in order to master this important area of combat.
Ground Fighting
Students will learn the various positions, approaches, chokes, locks, sweeps, and strikes while on the ground. This draws heavily from the Newaza of Jujutsu/Judo, BJJ, Wrestling, and Sambo.

Students who attend this class may wish to compete in MMA cage matches or just get a great work out.
