Welcome to the Budokan of Utah!
The Budokan is a Traditional Japanese Martial Arts Dojo located in
Utah
We offer classes in Shinkenkan Sogo Bujutsu, which spans the study of: Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu, Goju Ryu Karate,
and Combat Ninjutsu.
We also offer specilized weapon, law enforcement, and personal protection classes.
Currently the Budokan is closed to the public until further notice.
A Kenkyukai (Research Study Group) will be offered for those students who wish to cover the
basic curriculum until classes open again in 2012.
The Budokan is not your typical martial arts school. We teach small class sizes to maintain a strong relationship with
each student. Traditional classes are not sport oriented, as many martial arts schools are nowdays, rather
the Budokan focuses on effective real life self-defense and ethical training based on zen buddhist doctorine.
Every class is taught as they are in Japan.
Naturally, this type of intensive focused training is not for everyone. Those interested in learning authentic battle
field martial arts will find the Budokan Dojo very welcoming.
